Remora EA is an automated forex trading software. It trades on the forex market without any manual intervention.

A little history:

The 10 years tick data backtest of the first version of Remora EA looked like this at the start of the official account (2013.11.20):

Now if we do the backtest till 2018.04.04, we get this:

The start of the first version of Remora EA wasn't the best. In 2014 it had a big loss. Since then it works quite good. I didn't stop the EA after the big drawdown, because I wanted to see if the logic on long term works. It came back, however it took a while, but made it.

I have done a number of analyzes and decided to remove small strategy and calculation of the dynamic lot. Both idea had good periods, but these two feature caused the big loss in 2014 and overall (based on 15 years tick data backtest) it performs better without them.

I get the same result in backtest (using Tick Data Suite, variable spread, slippage and commission):

If I remove small strategy and choose equity lot calculation the backtest looks as follow:

I have changed the parameters (lot calculation based on equity and removed small strategy) on live account in 2018-03-01. Unfortunately there are no possibility to see the pips chart in myfxbook, you could see that even with the struggling of making money, it made a lot of pips. And that is because of the small strategy and dynamic lot calculation.
 
Beside that I developed the EA further. I wanted to get better entry points and to get that it has to react faster on the market. So I have rewritten the EA on M1. It still sees the big picture, but can react up to 15 times faster then the first version. TP and SL slightly modified, but the basics remain. Because of the much faster reaction the improvement is significant.

Currently the EA is not for sale, I want to have a decent live history. Nevertheless I started selling the first version after having at least 3 months of live trading and with a 10 years tick data backtest. I wanted to be as transparent as it can be. Unfortunately after the start of the sale I became the best friend of Murphy. Fortunately not for long.

Now we have 15 years of backtest and will have a couple months of live trading. After that I will decide what to do with the new version.
